INLAND WATERWAYS
DCI is providing dredging/ De-siltation services for National waterways / Inland / Shallow water/ reservoir De-siltation / Consultancy services for preparation of DPR on feasibility of Dredging (or) De-siltation of any water body through surveys / studies on Waste to Wealth through Inland Waterways Division (IWD) of DCI.
NATIONAL WATER WAYS PROJECTS
In India about 111 National Waterways were notified officially for the purpose of Inland waterways transport. The total NW network covers around 20,275 kms. NW1, NW2, and NW3 are operational
DCI is heading to execute the National waterways through internal resources and also chartering the services from the suitable agencies who are being in Land dredging
INLAND / SHALLOW WATER DREDGING
Inland / Shallow water dredging refers to the process of removing sediment, debris etc., from Shallow water bodies such as lakes, Ponds, Fishing Harbours etc., where depth of water body tends to be lower.
RESERVOIR DE-SILTATION
Reservoirs experiences periodical Sedimentation through rivers and streams. Over a period of time, the accumulated sediment reduces the reservoir's water storage capacity and may lead to flooding. De-siltation or sediment removal is the process of removing accumulated sediments from the reservoirs to restore the water holding to its original capacity / function.
CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR PREPARATION OF DPR ON FEASIBILITY OF DREDGING OR DE-SILTATION OF ANY WATER BODY
Successful completion of any Dredging and De-siltation project requires relevant water body data.DCI will take up Bathymetry surveys & Topography surveys, Geo Physical Surveys and Geo technical investigations and prepare DPR on dredge feasibility.
